Important: This guide is general information, not a Government communication or approval promise. Current law, portal behaviour and the relevant authority control the actual application.

Inconsistent applicant details

Name, PAN, constitution, authorised-signatory and contact details must belong to the correct applicant and align with the supporting records used in the application.

Weak address file

  • Incomplete or unclear occupancy support
  • Old or inconsistent utility details
  • Mismatch between agreement, owner and property information
  • Unconfirmed signage or verification access
  • Wrong State, district or PIN selection

Unclear business activity

The proposed goods, services, business model and registration reason should be described consistently. A generic activity selected only to complete the form can create questions later.

Missed authentication or clarification

Applicants should monitor the registered mobile, email and portal status. A clarification or verification request requires a factual, document-backed response within the applicable process; the original application should not be described as guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions

Can a professional guarantee GST approval?

No. A professional can prepare and coordinate the file, but the authority decides the outcome.

Should a rejected application simply be refiled?

First identify the recorded reason, correct the underlying facts or documents and choose the appropriate response or fresh-application route.
